Chiquita Costa was born far from home, but with a heart deeply connected to its roots.
When I left Costa Rica to settle in France, I realized that home is not always a place. Sometimes it is a memory, a color, a scent, or a small detail that brings us closer to our roots, wherever we are.
I grew up surrounded by tropical forests, beaches, mountains, and nature that always sparked my imagination. Since childhood, I have found inspiration in Costa Rica's colors, textures and extraordinary biodiversity. Over time, I realized how much this connection with nature shapes the way I create.
One of my most special memories is from La Fortuna, when a blue Morpho butterfly gently landed on my head.
The moment lasted only a few seconds, but it stayed with me. It reminded me how nature can surprise us when we slow down, look around and take it all in.
That moment inspired our first collection.
Every Chiquita Costa piece is designed to bring a little of that inspiration into everyday life: a connection to nature, to the memories that shape us, and to the roots that stay with us wherever life takes us.
More than accessories, I want to share pieces that tell stories, spark emotion and let us carry a little of the tropics, freedom and Costa Rican spirit with us.
